Discover our seamless approach to year-round pool enjoyment and efficient home heating—all powered by renewable energy and smart controls.
ZOAH Engineering Enterprise Ltd. is led by Christian Lippold and Nick Wanecek—two electrical engineers boasting over 50 years of combined experience. Christian offers 30+ years of hands-on expertise, and Nick brings 20 years of specialized know-how. Both have already converted their own homes in Germany into fully autonomous energy systems.
Now, they’re bringing this tried-and-tested technology to Northern Cyprus. With deep technical mastery and a genuine passion for self-sufficient energy, we are your ideal partner on the path to independence.

To size your pool heat pump correctly, we evaluate your pool’s surface area (m²), desired temperature rise, and local climate data. For a standard 10 × 5 m pool in Northern Cyprus, an 18 kW unit typically maintains year-round comfort. We’ll perform a site assessment and calculate heat-loss values to recommend the perfect model for your needs.
Off-grid means your system generates, stores, and manages all energy on-site without drawing from the grid. We combine solar PV arrays, battery storage, and intelligent inverters to power both your pool and home heat pumps. During sunny hours, PV charges the batteries and directly runs the heat pumps. At night or cloudy days, batteries supply energy.
Typical grid-connected installations see a 40–60 % reduction in heating costs, thanks to the heat pump’s high Coefficient of Performance (COP). When paired with off-grid solar PV, your electricity bill can drop to zero for pool heating and a significant portion of home heating. Exact savings depend on system size, orientation, and local sun exposure, but most customers recoup their initial investment within 5–7 years.
Absolutely. By maintaining a stable baseline (about 18 °C) the indoor relative humidity stays below the 60 % threshold where mold thrives.
Yes. Our heat pumps are designed to act as the primary heat source, feeding into your current distribution network (radiators, underfloor loops, etc.). When indoor temperature drops below the set point, the gas boiler or backup system kicks in. This hybrid setup ensures uninterrupted warmth, reduces boiler runtime by 40–60 %, and leverages renewable energy whenever possible.
Maintenance is minimal. We recommend:
With proper maintenance, these units can provide reliable service for over 15 years.
The pool pump itself operates independently of the heat pump's cooling circuit and simply ensures the water flow through the heat pump. Both devices are connected together to the PV system, which is designed to be large enough to allow for seamless joint operation thanks to the battery system.
We provide a 1-year parts and labor warranty on all heat Pump units and all other parts of the system. After this time we´re still there for your questions.
